L2 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

£2,000 (inclusive, interest free installments can be arranged)

This course mixes theory (science, technology, health and safety) with practical units of installation to give you experience and knowledge of differing wiring methods, wiring systems and cable types. These practical assessments can also prepare you for testing and verifying the wiring and installation work you complete meets the requirements of the wiring regulations and best practice. The Level 2 is  a pre-requisite to starting and completing the L3 Diploma which paired with the L3 NVQ this can lead to registration for a JIB or CSCS Gold Card for site work electricians.

 

  • Course length: 40 evenings (one evening a week) including classroom theory,

  • Exams; These will be booked at appropriate times through the course when both you and your lecturer/assessor feel you are ready.

 

L3 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

£2,200 (inclusive, interest free installments can be arranged)

This course mixes theory (science, design, environmental technologies) with practical units of Inspection and Testing, Fault Finding as well as some workshop tasks aimed at Heating Control Wiring and Motor Control. Paired with the L3 NVQ this can lead to registration for a JIB or CSCS Gold Card for site work electricians.

  • Course Length: 40 evenings (one evening a week) including classroom theory, practical and all assessments. - please call for prices and dates

  • Exam: These will be booked at appropriate times through the course when both you and your lecturer/assessor feel you are ready.

  • Mix of theory and practical

  • Covers Inspection and Testing as well as Fault Finding

  • Paired with the L3 NVQ can be used to apply for a JIB/CSCS/ECS Gold Card for site work

  • Complete your L3 here sooner than with a College

  • No cancelled sessions, full support with drop-in workshops available, continuity of tutor for your entire course

 

NVQ Level 3

£950 (inclusive)

The NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is your opportunity to reflect on your good practice as an improving electrician (improver/electrician’s mate/self-employed electrician) and compile a portfolio of evidence (with assistance by your on-site assessor) to show you can install a variety of wiring types and wiring systems safely and prepare an installation to be commissioned.

Paired with a completed L2 and L3 diploma in electrical installation (regardless of awarding body) the L3 NVQ this can lead to registration for a JIB or CSCS Gold Card for site work electricians.

 

  • Course length: Entirely dependent upon the time frame it takes to collect acceptable evidence.

  • Exams; N/A

 

18TH EDITION WIRING REGULATIONS (BS7671)

£300 (inclusive)

Learn the tools to navigate the IET wiring regulations with confidence, interpret the regulations in design, install, test, and verify, all of these are essential assets in electrical recognition. Keep up-to-date with the latest amendments.

  • Course length: 3 successive evenings (6-9pm)

  • Exam; Evening of the following week (to give time to revise)

  • Places can be secured with a non-refundable £50 Deposit

  • Requires an un-marked copy of the BS7671 wiring regulations

  • Brand new copies of the wiring regulations can be purchased from us at £80 prior to course commencement.

 

INSPECTION AND TESTING

£850 (inclusive)

Here, you will acquire a knowledge of how to verify Inspections and Testing of installations to prove compliance with BS7671 for domestic, commercial or industrial installations. This course mixes theory with practical and covers the completion of the following electrical certificates; Electrical Installation Certificates, Electrical Installations Condition Reports (periodic inspections) and Minor Works.

  • Course Length: A 5 day training course, mix of theory and practical, one day assessment (throughout the week or successive Saturdays).

  • Exam: Evening of the following week (to give time to revise)

  • Places can be secured with a non-refundable £100 Deposit

  • Requires an un-marked copy of the BS7671 Wiring Regulations and Guidance Note 3

  • Brand new copies of the Wiring Regulations and other IET documents can be purchased from us as required.

 

PAT (IN-SERVICE INSPECTION AND TESTING OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT)

£200 (inclusive)

Learn how to inspect, test and assess a variety of portable equipment to ensure they are either safe for continued use or need to be taken out of service for repair, maintenance or replacement. This course aims to give a comprehensive approach to all aspects of portable appliance testing so you can tackle a variety of equipment and feel confident that you are able to find, collate and report correct information correctly. Course includes a theory and practical mix.

  • Course length: One full day or two evenings.

  • Exams; Included in the time-frame of the course length you choose.

 

ELECTRICIAN’S GUIDE TO THE BUILDING REGULATIONS

£165 (inclusive)

Learn the tools to navigate and interpret the IET publication which guides Electricians to the pertinent requirements for installations in domestic, commercial and industrial settings in accordance with the approved documents of the building regulations. Often a prerequisite for those looking to join and register with a body who undertake the competent persons scheme on behalf of the government for electrician’s working in domestic installations.

 

  • Course length: One full day or two evenings

  • Exam; Included in the time-frame of the course length you choose

 

Electric Vehicle Charging

£300 (inclusive)

This course covers all of the requirements for the installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Points.

  • Course Length: 2 Days

  • Exam: 50 minute /25 Question Exam at the end of the 2nd day

  • Covers Inspection and Testing

  • DNO notifications

  • Domestic, Commercial and Industrial installations

 

AM2 Preparation/Refresher Day

£120 (inclusive)

This course will fully prepare you for both the practical and multiple-choice elements of the AM2 exam.

We have a dedicated rig containing all the types of fixtures that may appear on the examination rig, for you to practice testing and find added faults to go into the exam with the confidence and knowledge to pass.

Prep days are bespoke to each learner to focus on any aspects you may be apprehensive about.

  • How to correctly complete the paperwork

  • Practice multiple-choice papers
